Lifeguards - Cheyenne YMCA (WY)

 

The Cheyenne Family YMCA has openings for Lifeguards. Our guards serve as advocates for the safety and wellbeing of our members and guests, and you will ensure that the Y's pools are a friendly, welcoming environment for all to play, learn and build confidence in the water.

Salary range is $15-$17 hr based on experience. In addition, we provide a +10% differential for opening shifts.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of participants while they are in or near the pool or hot tub, general maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, chemical testing, and general problem-solving. You'll need to relate positively to a variety of people including other staff, members, program participants, and children.

Qualifications

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 16 years of age.
  • Current ARC/YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, AED, Emergency Oxygen and CPR-PR Certifications
  • Professional, alert, courteous, and tactful
  • Blood Borne Pathogens within 30 days of being hired

All Employees receive a free individual membership and anyone working 10+ hours receives a free family membership, 50-100% off our programs and if eligible, we contribute the equivalent of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund.

Full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 3 weeks of paid vacation, 88 hours of paid sick time, and 8 paid holidays per year. Free YMCA programs include: after-school programs, Camp NOCO traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate, and swim lessons. Discounted YMCA programs include: preschool, YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp, personal training, and specialty summer camps. The Y offers generous medical, dental, and vision benefits. We provide long-term disability and life insurance at no cost to full-time employees.

Part-Time employees also receive paid sick time at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

Posted Salary Range

USD $15.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr.
