Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, outdoors-loving Expeditions Coordinator who is passionate about connecting children to the natural world, helping children try new activities and persevere through challenges, and creating a community of respect, acceptance and caring. The expedition team builds and maintains a strong and supportive community of 10-12 campers and shows them the spirit of the outdoors during off-camp wilderness trips and on-camp wilderness experiences. They will lead a variety of group activities, such as backpacking, whitewater skills, and Leave No Trace principles while also giving individual support, mentorship, and attention to teens.

Our ideal candidates understand the power of community and teamwork and are eager to work with other members of our staff throughout the summer. We are looking for staffers who have an "I've got this" mindset, who show initiative and a solutions-minded attitude whether they're dealing with a camper missing home, a lightning strike, or a face painting with campfire ash.
